Jenn joined the Community Tampa Bay team in March 2014 with 15 years of experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising and program development. She has led several organizations in Texas, California and Florida in strategic growth, increased visibility and expanded community impact. Prior to Community Tampa Bay, she served as Executive Director of My New Red Shoes, a homeless services organization in the San Francisco Bay Area. In San Francisco, she was also President of the Board of Directors for Development Executives Roundtable (DER) and an Advisory Board member for the Foundation Center. Jenn has a MA in English Literature with a focus on African-American women’s narratives. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Equality Florida Tampa Gala and was recognized with a 2016 Florida Diversity Council LGBT Ally Award. Jenn has been a trainer in the areas of non-profit best practices, fundraising and cultural competence for more than ten years. She has presented in forums around the nation on diversity and inclusion, including for the National Association for African-American Studies, Mid-Atlantic Women’s Studies Association and Florida Philanthropic Network.  A former kickboxing instructor, when Jenn isn’t at Community Tampa Bay, she loves running, cycling and spending time with her rescue dog, Casey.
