Youth Leadership

Research indicates that stereotypes and prejudices are more easily overcome among youth than adults. Our youth leadership programs provide young people with the encouragement, peer networks and leadership skills to make meaningful contributions to their communities and begin a life-long journey of leadership and service.

Our youth leadership programs bring youth from different backgrounds together to learn about each other, about different cultures, and to gain respect for diversity. Our techniques include peer modeling, experiential learning and a “think global, act local” focus. We use the latest methodology for teaching key leadership skills – such as goal setting, team building, conflict prevention and problem solving – while emphasizing the importance and means of applying these skills to community service endeavors.
