Cultural Competency Programs
Community
Tampa Bay counsels business, government, social service agencies,
educational systems and health care organizations on how to capitalize
on the diversity of their workforce, clients and customer base,
how to develop “best practice” diversity programs and
initiatives aimed at increasing their efficiency and effectiveness,
and how to ensure that diversity and inclusiveness are at the foundation
of every decision made and every action taken.
Technical assistance, resources and tools, and a variety of programs
can be tailored to meet the needs of the client. Clients of Community
Tampa Bay include JPMorgan Chase, Raymond James Financial, Family
Resources, the Department for Veterans Affairs and many others.
Cultural Competency training programs may include:
- Organizational consulting to support an organization's strategic
goals and create inclusion, e.g. by creating a diversity roundtable.
- Organizational assessment and planning to analyze the organization's
climate with the objective of developing long and short-term action
plans.
- Programs that involve workplace dialogues and train-the-trainer
formats.
- Team building and staff development training that integrates
diversity into the group process.
Our
cultural competency services are part of our “social
entrepreneurship” program. This means that all proceeds
from these services are used to fund our not-for-profit activities
