Janet Blair, Director of Community Relations

In addition to building a provider network and hosting multiple community education and marketing events for the Center, Janet also partnered with local and statewide colleges and universities to create a multidisciplinary student internship program for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.   Working with students of all ages is a common thread through out Janet’s career.  She spent five years teaching at Eckerd College in the Program for Experienced Learners where her students ranged in age from 25 to 81.  Prior to teaching at Eckerd College, Janet also had the opportunity to implement cultural and educational programs for children and youth of migrant farm workers aged 5 to 18. 

In her personal life, Janet is a strong advocate of public education and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Midtown Journalism Project and as a volunteer in the Pinellas County Schools.  She is living “happily ever after” with her spouse and two children in south St. Petersburg and is excited about becoming a part of the Community Tampa Bay team.
