Teddy
Pierre (Chair) joined the Community Tampa Bay Board when the organization was still the National Conference for Community and Justice in 2001. He is the President of The Pascall Company, a human resources consulting firm specializing in diversity consulting and recruitment. A father of two daughters, Teddy cares deeply about youth leadership and respect for multiculturalism. |

John
Dunn (Vice-Chair) is the Director of Communications at Tampa
General Hospital. A native of New York City, he moved
here in 1980. He became interested in NCCJ while working
in the City of Tampa Mayor's Office and seeing the systemic
discrimination in so many facets of daily life. John is
currently completing a bachelor's degree in history at
USF. |

Marina Choundas is a business law and tax attorney with
the Tampa office of Foley & Lardner LLP, having moved
back here after going to law school and working at a law
firm in New York City. She received her undergraduate
and master’s degrees in accounting from USF, has
a CPA and is fluent in Spanish and Greek. Marina joined
the Community Tampa Bay (NCCJ) Board in 2003. As the daughter
of immigrant parents (Cuba/Greece), Marina believes in
promoting tolerance and diversity in our world today. |

Joyce Cotton is Director of Marketing and Community Partnership with WEDU. She has worked in the television industry for 35 years beginning her broadcasting career with Scripps Howard Broadcasting WEWS in Cleveland, OH. Joyce is actively involved in the Tampa Bay community and currently serves as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for PACE Center for Girls/Pinellas, Meals on Wheels, Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Grazer Children’s Museum and Community Stepping Stones. Joyce is also a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Ybor City Chamber of Commerce and the St Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Female Executives and e-Women Network. In 2009 she was awarded the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Business Women of the Year - MEDIA. |

Shahid
Din was with Baxter Health Care for 20 years,
where he was the Director of Research and Development
for artificial organs. He currently heads up the Tamarind
Group LLC, a company that develops medical products. Shahid
Din holds a degree in electronic engineering from Southern
Illinois University. Of Pakistani origin, Shahid was born
and raised in East Africa and fluently speaks Urdu, Swahili,
and Punjabi. He has been a Pinellas County resident since
1979. |

Nick Kouris is Senior Manager of Business Development for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF). Nick reaches out to local community organizations and non-profits on behalf of the Blue Foundation and Community Affairs to meet BCBSF commitment to its mission.
He is a published author on cross-cultural modalities in family therapy, and has worked in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He has worked with diversity, managed healthcare and behavioral healthcare settings for over 15 years. He has a unique perspective on both the business realities of providing affordable healthcare access as well as the socioeconomic and cultural factors which continue to define the direction of healthcare access for diverse populations.
Nick enjoys ocean kayaking on the Gulf of Mexico, is an avid gardener, and enjoys getaways to hike the mountains of California.

Lance
Lansrud joined the Community Tampa
Bay (NCCJ) Board of Directors in 2003. A Realtor with Florida Executive Realty
in South Tampa, Lance loves his community and is passionate
about making the Tampa Bay area the best it can be. Lance
is also a graduate of the Anytown program.

Kaukeb Malik was born and raised in Cincinnati as a Muslim and attended an all-girls Catholic high school where she learned that civic-mindedness is cross-cultural and should not be bound by creed. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in History from Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. She worked with Bridges Cincinnati, (previously known as National Conference for Community and Justice), and co-produced "Jewish-Muslim Relations: A Cincinnati Perspective", which aired in early 2007. She also worked to create dialogue between young professional Muslims and Jews. Since moving to Tampa, she has volunteered with various organizations empowering minorities and building relationships across all faiths. She is currently a teacher of US History & World Literature at the Universal Academy of Florida, a private Islamic school in Tampa.

Ashira Pelt is a graduate of the Anytown program and a participant in the Hillsborough Youth Collaborative. She has been a "What We Could Be" tutor and volunteer since 2006 and a member of the Mayor's Youth Corps since 2007. She served as an Anytown counselor in 2009 and will be graduating from Hillsborough High School in 2011.

Alizza Punzalan-Hall is the director of community and media relations at Eckerd College. She graduated from Rhodes College with a B.A. degree in piano performance, later becoming the public relations director for the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. After moving to St. Petersburg in July 2000, Alizza sold corporate underwriting for WUSF Public Broadcasting and raised funds for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic before joining Eckerd College in 2003. Alizza has served on the boards of The Studio@620, Creative Clay, the YWCA of Tampa Bay, and the national board of the YWCA, where she served as vice president and traveled to Nairobi, Kenya for an international women's leadership conference on HIV/AIDS. In 2005, the Tampa Bay Business Journal recognized Alizza on its "30 Under 30" list. In January 2006, she summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak at 19,340 feet. Alizza has combined her professional and personal interests by coordinating major community events, including, the March 21, 2007 International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination round tables held at Eckerd College and the ongoing Studio@620 Social Justice Round Table Series, which she currently chairs.

| Mark Sena is president and managing partner of MediaSphere Partners, LLC (“MediaSphere”), a business advisory, development and investment company specializing in media and communications, and is president of Mars Communications, Inc., a wireless broadband spectrum leasing company. Mark formed MediaSphere after being employed for 21 years at Communications Equity Associates, LLC (“CEA”). During his term at CEA, Mark initiated and led the firm’s international expansion efforts, first in the Caribbean and later in Europe and Latin America. He has worked in more than 25 countries and completed many of CEA’s first investment banking transactions overseas in the sectors of cable TV, broadcast TV and radio, wireless, programming, publishing and telecommunications. Mark attended college at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where he received a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees. He is married to Linda Saul-Sena, who is a member of the Tampa City Council and has two teenage daughters |

David Sobelman is Vice President of Calkain Companies, a national commercial real estate firm. Additionally, David and his wife, Tanner, are the founders and directors of the Wellspring Foundation, which provides an outlet for children to experience new cultures, religions, races and nationalities, with the desire to have a lasting effect on their consciousness and make them more productive and insightful adults. David has a background in public service and government as he was appointed to several positions within the Executive Branch of the Federal Government; including The White House. David received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and is a native of Sarasota, FL. |

Abby Sterensis was born and raised in St. Petersburg, a real Florida native! During her high school years she attended Anytown as a delegate and counselor. After getting her Bachelors in Finance at UF and MBA in Sydney, Australia she was thrilled to move back to Florida. Abby is now working at the family business, ALC-Advanced Learning Centers, as the Director of Community Outreach, building relationships with diverse communities throughout the state. She is excited to be back in St. Pete and is looking forward to giving back to the community that has always been such a wonderful place to call home!

Franz Villate was born and raised in a majority Latino community in New Jersey and transferred to USF from Montclair State University. At USF he became heavily involved in student activism, including Latin American Student Association and Students for Social Justice. Franz is an Anytown counselor and currently serves on the Anytown Advisory.

Dr. Rick Weinberg (Secretary) is a licensed psychologist and professor at USF. He currently teaches three graduate courses in couples and family therapy, and an undergraduate course on Families and Health. He also has a part-time therapy practice where he works with families, couples, adults, and teenagers. Born and raised in Chicago, Rick's BA is from the University of Michigan and Ph.D from USF. He completed his clinical fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Mass General Hospital in 1980-81. His academic interests, writing, and personal commitments reflect a strong belief in social justice, human rights, community involvement, and social responsibility. Rick has been an Anytown advisor every summer since 1995, and has served on the Community Tampa Bay Board since 1998. |
